Hi, I’m Jeanne

I started Rain Tree because I believe mission-driven startups deserve more than generic consulting. They deserve a partner who understands the chaos of building, the weight of big ambitions, and the joy of making real impact.

I’m a product manager with a communications executive’s experience, and a social scientist’s education. Which means I think in systems, I care about stories, and I know how to move from vision to execution without losing sight of the people we’re building for.

Before founding Rain Tree, I led Communications and Corporate Citizenship for Procter & Gamble Southern Africa, working on brands like Gillette, Always, Pampers, and Ariel. Later, at Kandua, I moved from consulting on brand into a senior product management role — leading both the marketplace and service provider platforms, and guiding a business model pivot that shaped the company’s growth and acquisition.

I’ve also worked across the US, Europe, Asia, and Africa in corporate, academic, and nonprofit spaces, including time with UNICEF India. I hold a Master’s in Inclusive Innovation from the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business, and I’m endlessly curious about the innovations shaping the world we’ll take for granted tomorrow.

I thrive in messy contexts. I create clarity, focus, and momentum. I’m more interested in impact than outputs, and I believe the “right thing” will always matter more than the easy thing.
